Golf
1/9- Chico CA
Wow what a day!! It started out with my first ever yoga class. Craig had a class this morning and I decided to enhance my adventure by attending a yoga class. Fortunately for me the class was called gentle yoga. Even then I was struck by how much actual exercise you can get by sitting in one spot for an hour. I left stretched out and a little beat.
We went from there straight to the golf course where we picked up another couple of players and hit the links. I borrowed a set of clubs but I still managed to sneak in a couple of pars. That doesn’t mean I scored under a 100 when in fact I lost count somewhere around the seventh hole. We did play the whole 18 walking for close to 5 hours. This is a fun course as not only do you have to deal with trees and sand traps but the deer wander all over the course. Also there are several bike and walking paths that wander through the course making hitting pedestrians a one stroke penalty.
We managed to get our last putts in the hole before the daylight disappeared. We picked up Alayne and headed for a Chico State basketball game. The men won in overtime in a thrilling come from behind victory. We did manage to sit right next to the mother of Chico States star player. He hit the two game winning free throws as well as scoring his 1000th career point.
We used this day up big time. It was another beautiful day making it into the 70’s. I will probably have to rest up tomorrow.
