Kings
1/19- Paradise CA
We went over to Lime Saddle park this morning for a hike. This is a nice quiet state park and campground. It runs along and above the shore of Lake Oroville. We have a long history with hiking here. Way back when the lake had water in it we had hiked around and even went swimming in it. We have been here when the lake was so low it was a 1/4 mile hike to the water from the end of the boat launch ramp. Then again we drove under the dam when it had filled up so much the dam was in danger of bursting. They had even evacuated some of the town of Oroville which is right underneath it. Today it was somewhere in between. The house boats were all congregated near the marina but at least the ramp was in the water.
Later that afternoon Saryn and I drove down to Sacramento to attend a pro basketball game. The Sacramento Kings played the Washington Wizards. I am not a big fan of the NBA but Saryn had never been to a game before. They have a brand new stadium and it was easy to get in and out. Sacramento is a nice city and the stadium is built at the end of a long pedestrian mall and it has all kinds of shops and restaurants surrounding it. I could only take so much though as there were too many people there. By the way the Kings won handily.
